Text Alerts

How SMS notifications work and how to opt in.

PAGAProtector offers optional SMS text alerts so business owners and managers know the moment a labor-compliance issue is flagged. This page describes the program and how consumers opt in.

What you'll receive

Account holders (owners/managers): a text when one of your employees answers "NO" to a compliance question on the daily attestation form.
Employees: a notice when your employer logs a workplace incident or disciplinary action in your record.

These are transactional notifications only — no marketing.

How to opt in

Owners & managers opt in from inside their PAGAProtector account: go to Settings → Alert Emails → Text Alert Cell, enter your mobile number, and check the consent box shown below. This is the opt-in call-to-action:

Get a text the moment an employee answers NO — so you catch it in seconds, not whenever you next check email.

The consent box is not pre-selected — the user must actively check it, and no number is saved without it. Submitting requires the box to be checked.

Employees opt in by signing the Communications Consent section of their onboarding packet, which authorizes employment-related text messages to the number they provide. That form contains the following SMS consent language, which each employee reviews and signs:

Your Authorization. I authorize Wicked Good Restaurants, LLC dba The Place to contact me for employment-related purposes — including scheduling, shift coverage, timekeeping, payroll, safety, and other work matters — by:

Phone call at the number I provided;
Text message (SMS) at the number I provided, including messages sent through an automated system or a scheduling or messaging platform; and
Email at the address I provided.

Text Messages. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. I may opt out of non-essential text messages at any time by replying STOP or by notifying my manager or HR.
